WHo AM I?
The short answer — I am part time bloke who is always trying to know more about Front-End development. But never quite getting there
The long answer — For some reason I feel I have to know things, everything (front end). I know I can't, that's why this job is so fun.
I find that I should be more professional, especially on my portfolio website. While I don't disagree with this, I would ask why should I talk normally on my blog and not on here? Why will wearing a suite to work help me code better websites?
I am Front-End Web Developer first and foremost, who loves PHP. With a good computing background over the past 8 years, I have concentrated more specifically on web development, focusing and developing my creative eye.
What do I do?
The short answer — One thing I don't do is write copy. I should have paid a copywriter to do this part for me, but I do HTML5, CSS3, JS, JQuery, PHP, and MySQL
The long answer — I just can't get enough of not knowing how something should be built in a way that will give the project the richest user experience.
Why do I keep coming back for more? With each project I do I learn things new about new technologies... These skills then open up an entirely new learn path to enjoy.
Its the not knowing that keeps me forever learning, never twiddling my thumbs for things to do.
Why do I do it?
The short answer — Why does anybody do anything? Love, and eating. Maybe I only do it to eat, who knows. I know, I do it for the love and the eating. But which do I love more is the real question?
The long answer — I just can't get enough of not knowing how something should be built in a way that will give the project the richest user experience, whilst using the latest technologies. For me this is always a difficult task as you always want to use the newest things when they may not really be the best product to use..
Its this not knowing that keeps me forever learning, never twiddling my thumbs for things to do, always jumping around in excitement.
